Ranger is a handsome male American Staffordshire Terrier who is about six years old. He has been waiting at Islip Animal Shelter for over a year now to find his forever home. His previous owner ignored him and he never received the love and attention he deserves. Though Ranger is short and stocky, he is a strong boy. He is a little barrel of energy right out of the cage, but spending over 400 days in a cage, you would be too! After a few minutes of exercise, Ranger relaxes and loves to lay in the shade or lay in the pool. Ranger walks nicely on a leash, once he gets his initial energy out. He also knows the sit and down commands. Ranger gets along with other dogs, but he needs a home without cats. He would do best with older children just due to his size and strength.

Ranger is up for adoption at Islip Animal Shelter. We’re so eager to get him out of the shelter, Live.Love.Bark will pay his adoption fee, buy his first bag of food, bed, toys, and treats! He comes neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on his rabies shot.
